If you think that a war far away from Britain, won’t have any impact on you, then think again. Maybe, it won’t, but it may call your friend or a business colleague if he’s a Reservist. UK consists of around 34,000 Volunteer Reservists which belong to different regions, jobs and backgrounds. These Reservists are ordinary men and women who undergo world-class training and then serve alongside the Regular Forces. Launched in October 2002 by British government, SaBRE, Supporting Britain’s Reservist and Employers is a campaign which was created with the belief that if an employer understands the role of Reservists and is aware of the skills they develop their support for their Reserve Forces employees will be that much greater.As part of the training, the Reservist develops a wide array of transferable skills which is surely an asset for the employee in the workplace.
